IP-rated LED for Indian monsoon climates

IP65 is the floor, not the ceiling. What actually keeps outdoor LED running through July in Mumbai.
Most outdoor LED on the market is IP65 rated on the front face — but the back, the cable entries and the structural mounts often aren't, and that's where monsoon-season failures happen.
Our outdoor specification asks for IP65 front, IP54 rear at minimum, conformally coated PCBs, marine-grade fasteners, and a drainage path engineered into the cabinet.
Surge protection on both signal and power is mandatory in our deployments — lightning-induced surges are the single most common cause of catastrophic outdoor LED failure in India.
Get these basics right and an outdoor wall will run for a decade with minimal intervention. Skip them and you'll be on site every monsoon.
